Interference problem is a universal phenomenon in communication.There are many kinds of noises in the modern digital communication which adopt shortwave and ultrashort wave frequency band.For example,engine sparks,atmospheric electricity, industry electromagnetic and so on.Those noises will lead to outburst errors in the transmission of information and bad performance of the bit error rate. In connection with this situation,we make an investigation of burst interference and Turbo codes to solve this problem.By means of simulation,we make a comparison between Turbo codes and other codes such as BCH codes and RS codes.We find that Turbo’codes has a better performance in suppression of burst interference than the other codes, lot of proposals are raised to suppress burst interference.After this,we we make an improvement in combination with intertleaver theory.The primary coverage of this thesis are as follows.1.An overview of the description including the current status of modern communication system theory,channel codes, the generated backgrounds and research situation of Turbo codes.2.We will take use of the the Simulink toolbox in Matlab communication system to build two major models.One is outburst interference model that can generate different types of burst interference.The other is the model of Turbo codes that can change parameters of Turbo codes.3.We take burst interference,information source model,encoding module and decoding module of Turbo codes into consideration to finish parameter settings.The statistical algorithms Simulink module will be adopted to get the data results.At the while we compile Matlab program to get the output statistics, thus form graph and curves.And,at last,we bring the simulation results in the case of various parameters together to have an intuitive comparison.4.Later at work, we raise a plan to enhance the performance of Turbo codes.We add an interleaver behind the encoder,and a deinterleaver in front of the decoder,the information will be send in the form of interlacement thus to enhance the capability of anti-jamming.This plan is also tested in the thesis.
