With the development of Internet technology, the demand of the network security is higher and higher. At this moment we need a reliable network security management system to manage the entire network. Management system need to connect the network security devices and the other management system interconnection. Communication solution determines the success or failure of the entire system. Based on the urgent needs of communication solution, people begin to research communication middleware and let the technology get rapidly development and extensive application in the short term.The ICE communication middleware is stable and full-featured, it is the most popular communication middleware now. But many function of it is not necessary for users. The developer who use the middleware must learn it well, if the middleware is not encapsulated, there will be many problems in the using process. Based on the ICE communication middleware, a small high-performance communication middleware named CyberNetMidWare has been designed to ensure efficient、stable and secure communications in LAN and between LANs.First of all, this paper introduces the relevant knowledge of network security management system and communication middleware. Based on the analysis of the communication middleware, this paper puts forward a new solution that considers network security management platform as an application platform in order to make communication middleware more practical in the research and design.Secondly, this paper introduces the relevant knowledge of the Threadpool and OpenSSL. Through the research of Threadpool, we can certify efficient data concurrent communication. Threadpool in middleware server during the operation can handle large number of concurrent communication, guarantying the efficiency of data processing. Along with the deep research of OpenSSL, data encryption in communication is realized, it ensures the data security communication. Through the research on data protocol, this paper customizes the data transmission protocol of the middleware. The data is divided into three forms which include message、command and file. Through research, the communication middleware puts the Sessionkey into package header, this can make the security and stability of data transmission combine well.Finally, based on all above study, this paper completed the design and implementation of communication middleware which can be used in network security management system. Through test we find the loss rate and the average delay of the data are low. Then the customized communication middleware was used to the network security. management system and its design purpose was achieved.
