In recent years,60GHz millimeter-wave (mm Wave) communication has been attracting much attention due to its large available GHz bandwidth and Gbps transmission capability. It enables numerous wireless applications such as uncompressed transmission of high definition TV (HDTV) and wireless gigabit Ethernet. Most of these applications acquire several high-rate links working at the same time in a short range, which calls for high demands in the ability for interface mitigation and spatial reuse. Meanwhile,60GHz has very high spatial reuse ability due to its feature of directional transmission and blockage problem. This paper is funded by NSFC—"Research on interface mitigation and spatial reuse in60GHz Indoor dense communication network". The main work of this paper is to research virtual relay based interface mitigation and spatial reuse scheme in60GHz wireless communication network.Firstly, the basic concepts of60GHz communication network and latest research are described briefly, mainly focusing on the spatial reuse potential of60GHz network and the MAC layer defined by IEEE802.11ad standard. Then, this paper builds the channel model and interface model for60GHz communication network, and proposes a new approach to achieve interference mitigation and spatial reuse by using the physical reflector as the virtual relay to offer optional links. The exhaust method is used to perform path selection to maximize the overall channel capacity, in order to verify the feasibility of the proposal. Finally, based on the principle of scheduling the time and spatial resource together to achieve interference mitigation and spatial reuse in MAC layer, the paper proposes a virtual relay based STDMA scheme, including CCI monitoring engine, allocation of time slot and virtual relay choosing algorithm. Moreover, adaptive transmission technology is adopted to improve the performance of the scheme. The simulation results show that network performance of60GHz communication network can be improved effectively by using virtual relay based interface mitigation and spatial reuse scheme.
