Heterogeneous network technology is one of the important candidate technology for LTE-A.For wireless communication system, it brings greater system capacity and higher resource utilization. However, the introduction of heterogeneous network brings a very good gain for the wireless communication system, it also brings some drawbacks. Such as low power nodes make the area distribution complicated so that the interference of community edge users such as complicated. Some of the original system wireless resource management algorithms are also not adjusted to this new system. Now, heterogeneous network technology of the LTE-A is in the study research project, we still need a lot of manpower and material resources to research new improvement scheme. At the same time, considering the high cost of hardware upgrades and high complexity, it is not appropriate to optimize and modify the technology solutions after product implementation. Therefore, it is significant to do sufficient tests for technology solutions through a reliable system simulation platform before the implementation of their products.The main innovation of this paper includes the following aspects:1) Based on the3GPP relevant agreements and proposals, construct the LTE-A system level platform for heterogeneous network carrier aggregation scene5and outdoor pico, including the building of the topology, channel modeling selecting the serving cell, measuring model, scheduling and handover model and etc. And with simulation validation the performance is proved;2) Analysis of system mobility performance after the introduction of heterogeneous network is presented:handover failure rate is high, radio link failure is severe, based on which, a novel mobility state estimation algorithm is proposed, and through the system simulation, the feasibility of the algorithm is proved;3) Analysis of the defects in heterogeneous scenario is presented, based on which, a novel scheduling algorithm is proposed, and through the system simulation, the feasibility of the algorithm is proved.
