The growing popularity of mobile multimedia terminals, especially that of smart terminals and the rapid development of the mobile Internet make it possible to connect to the network "in any place and at any time". The development of the mobile Internet is bound to bring to people’s lives, learning and work great changes. It has great significance to the development of enterprises and institutions to grasp the new opportunities of the mobile Internet wave. With the development of social mobility, people hope that they can access internet to search material, browse news, taking notes, processing affairs, etc. in any place and any time. And, the popularization of mobile terminals makes the demand possible.At present most of the website are based on the traditional Internet, which are built for computers, but mobile terminals can’t visit normally. In order to grasp the trend of the development of the Internet, many traditional web site owners want to migrate to the mobile Internet web site upgrade, to support a variety of terminals access.In the paper, we implement a cost-effective method to convert a traditional website into a mobile internet website via a middleware model in a smooth and shortcut way. This work is based on the demand of the development of mobile internet and ANM laboratory’s project of mobile office automation.Based on in-depth research and analysis of the application demand, middleware basic theory and key technologies, this paper elaborates the general scheme of the system, detailed design, and realizes mobile office automation system based on the middleware model. We use web technology such as Struts2, Spring, XHtml, to build the middleware system’s framework. The middleware system mainly contains communication server module, file download module, image conversion module and caching module. Communication server module is responsible for building and maintaining communications between the middleware and the original web server. HTML page parser module is responsible for parsing HTML pages that grabbed by communication server module. Responsive web view module is the view layer of the middleware system. Image conversion module is responsible for generating suitable size pictures for different terminals. Caching module is used to improve the system’s processing performance, and to promote the system of the total response rate.
