Based on wireless image transmission technology, people can easily access the image information of different places. The technology provides convenience for living and working. With the maturity of3G technology, wireless image transmission system has developed rapidly in recent years and is increasingly becoming an important emerging industry. However, the current wireless image transmission system has many disadvantages, such as limited transmission bandwidth, inflexible transmission content, lacking of effective communication and assurance mechanisms for transmission quality. Therefore, the reserach for these has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper focuses on the technical difficulties and deficiencies of the existing wireless image transmission system and proposes a wireless image transmission system design, which can effectively reduce the transmission bandwidth of the channel, and be able to solve the technical difficulties for current transmission technology. It proposes a new and innovative image transmission thought to enable the transmission contents of the image to be flexibly selected according to the control of the image receiving side, thereby effectively reducing the amount of the transmission data of the image, and improves the utilization of the channel. The content and requirements of image transmission can be selected easily. The scheme has effective communication and quality assurance mechanisms for transmission, the system can understand the state of the transmission and protect the transmission quality of the image through feedback information.This paper introduces the research background of wireless image transmission system and its purpose and significance firstly, and then describes the key technologies involved in wireless image transmission system, followed by a detailed description of the system design, including the design goals, design ideas, its modules, communication mechanisms and the data processing of modules.What’s more,it proposes specific implementation scheme for image storage and image capture part according to the software and hardware platform, including debugging verification and the debugging results analysis. Finally, it’s the summary and outlook of the full text.
