With the high speed development of computer vision and communication technology, the monitoring technology is experiencing a hitherto unknown change. The moving target detection technology as the core and key of intelligent monitoring, has important research value.The intelligent monitoring technology can be used in traffic scene as well as other occasions needing to implement automatic monitoring.So, this research on the moving target detection technology, has a practical significance for practical application of intelligent monitoring.The moving target detection technology is one of the important research topic in the such fields of computer vision, video information processing. As a major part of the digital image processing technology, this paper is mainly on the algorithm research of moving object detection based on video monitoring system. This algorithm mainly includes:the seeking of image preprocessing, moving target detection,calculating velocity, etc. The segmentation methods can be divided into background subtraction, inter-frame difference and optical flow method and so on. The paper gives an overall elaboration and the research on moving object detection, and details analysis and explanation of the segmentation algorithm of target detection. According to the algorithm and formulas, it used the MATLAB for programming and simulation, and analyzed the experimental results of the corresponding algorithm, and the experimental results were compared with each other and effectively analysed.At present, the realization of moving target detection is based on the software applications. With the development of embedded technology, to realize the combination of the technology and hardware will bring more and more convenient and practical. With the optimization of the algorithm, the moving target detection technology can be combined with other embedded platform.Among these, FPGA as a field programmable gate array, provides a flexible programming choice for the realization of dynamic video detection algorithm. So, based on the FPGA system, to realize the scheme is consistent with the practical application, and relatively more convenient and feasible.This paper gives a basic introduction of the FPGA system platform, makes a analysis and summary of these characteristics and advantages in the realization of image processing and analysis. Based on the characteristics of moving target detection technology, this paper proposed the outline plan about the design of motion detection technology on the FPGA platform, that puts forward feasible ideas on the corresponding design application, and provides a preliminary design of display module.To sum up, the further research of the moving target detection technology on the basis of the theory and algorithm implementation in this paper has a practical significance to the application of intelligent videos. The programming and simulation of the corresponding algorithm can show the detection technology of dynamic video more intuitive.And, this paper has a high reference value to the stack and optimization of dynamic video detection technology.The preliminary analysis and design in the combining of FPGA hardware platform, laid a good foundation for the implementation of FPGA platform in moving target detection technique and the follow-up platform system designing of the FPGA.
