It is must be considered in the carrier synchronization for OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) systems for the problem that it is vulnerable to the CFO(Carrier Frequency Offset) influence at the cost of using multiple orthogonal sub-carriers multiplexing mode. In the high frequency and high speed mobile environment, the Doppler frequency spread will lead time selective fading, accompanied by the frequency selective fading caused by multipath signal delay wireless channel, the channel will become the time-frequency selective fading (fast varying channel). In fast time-varying channel, the channel response and CFO will cause inter-carrier interference on OFDM.To solve these problems mentioned above, this dissertation is fucos on the research of the transmitted and received OFDM signal models in the fast fading channel, besides an improved CFO estimate algorithm was proposed based on the study of a CE_BEM model algorithm. On this basis, the main work of this paper can be summarized as the following four points:1. Studying the mathematical and physical models of the OFDM received signal under interference of the CFO and fast time fading channel, and the simulation model of fast varying channel.2. Summarying and analysing the CFO estimation algorithms under the fast fading channels for OFDM systems.3. Throughly studying the basis function expansion model (BEM) used in the OFDM systems.4.
