Human motion is a complex process. The study of human motion has profound influences in many fields. In sport training it can help the athlete make a training schedule. In biomimetic robot control it can help to make the control strategy. And in clinical medicine it can provide doctors many useful data to diagnose whether a patient needs treatment. Further, gait analysis is an important branch of human motion analysis. From the day we were born, everyone has formed his gait habit. Since human gait takes plenty of information reflecting human motion, the study of gait analysis has practical significance. By gait analysis many useful parameters can be achieved such as gait cycle, foot angle, cadence and so on.In this paper, two low-cost inertial sensors which include accelerometer and gyroscope have been utilized to analyze the human gait. The inertial data is sampled by the sensor network. The quantitative gait parameters can be achieved by fusing the acceleration and gyroscope data. Then the results are saved on the computer and displayed on the interface of the software for further study. A database has been set, which can be utilized for gait recognition.
