Starting from the nuclear signal on time and amplitude’ s statistical properties,this paper introduces the statistical fluctuation that appeared in the detection for therandomicity of nuclear event itself, this makes nuclear signal taking on Poissondistribution on time and Gaussian distribution on amplitude,which established theimportant theoretical and practical foundation to research Signal Generator ofImitated Nuclear Radiation.Owing to randomicity of nuclear event itself, statistical fluctuation occurs. Thismakes nuclear signal taking on Poisson distribution on time and Gaussian distributionon amplitude. Existing random pulse generator simulated nuclear signal eithersimulates nuclear signal from time only or from amplitude, with uniform randomnumber but not Gaussimi random number. And other limitation exists such as complexcircuit and slow speed. The dififculty of the design is to make simulation signal takeon statistical distribution on time and amplitude synchronously.This design based in pseudo-random uniformity number, it produces randomnumbers of Gaussian distribution and exponential distribution by arithmetic. Using apiece of FPGA’s device to simulate the Bernoullitrial, obtained the random pulse ofexponential distributed on pulse interval, poisson distribution on count rate andGaussian distribution on amplitude, proven time and amplitude characteristics can beused for simulation of general nuclear sources by the statistical tested distribution tothe output pulses.The results showed that This simulated nuclear signal generator, not only cangenerate poisson distribution on time and Gaussian distribution on amplitude ofrandom pulse, but also can generate controllable periodic pulse. At the meantime, can generate arbitrary signal such as the sinusoidal、square wave、triangular wave etc bychanging the DDS waveform data look-up table.
