Gprs Over Ip Network Gb Interface Monitoring System Implementation And Traffic Analysis

With the rapid development of mobile communication technology, the increasing of mobile Internet applications and the more intensive demands for information, the mobile network data traffic surges. As the main force which carries nearly90percent of mobile data services of China’s mobile network, GPRS network has entered a stage of rapid growth in its use. Subscribers put forward higher requirements on quality of service and performance of the network, which gives current GPRS network a huge challenge. Therefore, regional service providers and content providers begins to pay more and more attentions to the monitoring and maintenance of the GPRS network.By monitoring the running conditions of mobile network equipments, detecting abnormal situations, we can maintain and optimize the network more reasonably and efficiently. Bad behaviors can be seen and controlled. In addition, behavior analysis and business analysis become quite important, on account of its guiding role for the development of technology for mobile Internet applications, and the innovation of business model.This paper first discusses the importance of monitoring the GPRS network, presents a clear engineering purposes that has great application prospects, and introduces the GPRS network principles and the Gb interface protocol suite. Next, by using a scientific and complete software development process, we discuss the design and implementing of the GPRS network Gb interface Monitoring System(GGMS), including software requirements analysis, basic design, modules design, and software writing and testing. Aterwards, there are some statistics and analysis of the XDR files produced by GGMS after processed the traffic of currently using mobile network from different analytic angle. Finally, this paper gave a summary and outlook on the user behavior analysis in GPRS network.
