Nowdays LTE system is beginning to be deployed all over the world. With the boom in mobile data services and restriction on frequency resource, maximizing the frequency reuse shall be one of the most important factors in LTE system deployment.This paper aimes at the techniques for inter-cell interference mitigation in LTE system which is based on same frequency networking.In this paper, homogeneous network and heterogeneous network are coverd and separated into flowing three deployment scenarios.In Macrocell scenario, full frequency reuse, factional frequency reuse and ICIC scheme depended on soft frequency reuse are simulated under various network load and their spectrum efficiency and satisfaction ratio of GBR service are evaluated.With consideration of the support for ICIC scheme in devices of major manufactures, some suggestions for LTE system deployment are provided.In Macro-Pico scenario, ABS ratio in one radio frame under various CRE bias is presented by simulation results. Besides the solutions in time domain, multi-threshold scheme is proposed to determine the RNTP threshold in the frequency domain solutions based on Carrier Agrigation. This new scheme decreases the communication times between Macro eNB and Pico eNB campared with the existing negotiating scheme. In addition, more detailed information will be suggested in new scheme for UEs to select proper carriers.In Macro-femto scenario, an interference mitigation sheme for both Macrocell and Femtocell is proposed. This scheme is based on centralized HetNet framework and applys a protection tactic for interfered non-CSG MUE. Meanwhile, the transmit power of each HeNB is determined by genetic algorithem to improve the performance of the HUE with minimized SINR. The Monte Carlo simulation result shows that there is a significant decrease in UE’s outage probability and the average spectrum efficency of Macrocell has a slight increase. However, the average spectrum efficency of Femtocell are down a bit.
