LTE (Long Term Evolution, Long Term Evolution) project is the evolution of3G,3GPP started in2004, the Toronto Conference. LTE is not4G technology which is widely misunderstood, but between3G and4G technology as a transition, is the global standard for3.9G, to improve3G and enhance air access technology, using OFDM and MIMO for its only wireless network evolution standard. For20MHz of spectrum, it can provide bandwidth to deliver326Mbit/s in the downlink and uplink86Mbit/s peak rate. Improve the performance of cell edge users, increase cell capacity and reduce system delays. In the LTE system, because of the use of OFDM as its core technology of physic layer, to make the interference between cells with the same frequency of network as the main factors affecting system performance. The cell interference coordination technique is an important means to reduce the interference, and improve system performance. Currently being developed next-generation broadband wireless communication systems, will spontaneously improve cell edge performance as the main indicator of the demand. This article is to introduce the contents of the OFDM system is faced with the problem of interference between cells with the same frequency of network, as well as the throughput and performance of its cell edge user. On this basis, to analysis the principal methods and characteristics of the means to decrease or eliminate inter-cell interference, focusing on the principle and method of inter-cell interference coordination. Analysis several of the currently available cell interference coordination techniques deeply, comparing various technologies in performance and implementation complexity, on the advantages and disadvantages. Finally, we analysis its impacts on system performance through the investigation of the main principles and features of LTE interference coordination technology.
