Hybrid Automatic Repeat request (HARQ)combining ARQand FECcan ensure reliable transmission and obtain higher throughput. And now HARQ has been applied in many wireless mobile communication systems, e.g3G and4G. Meanwhile, HARQ with constellation rearrangement (CoRe) can reduce the bit reliability differences caused by high-order modulation, and decoding performance can be improved. In this paper,we mainly researches on the HARQ with CoRe, which is operated in cooperative and MIMO systems.Firstly this paper researches on the realization scheme of HARQ technology based on the CoRe in the collaborative communication system. By comparing cooperative-HARQ system with other systems employing CoRe strategy, and considering how to assign the mapping versions of CoRe scheme to the source and relay node so that decoding in destine node can be improved, this paper proposes the optimum strategy. Secondly this paper proposes a new HARQ scheme based on CoRe technology, operated in a MIMO system. By analyzing the weakness of the existing schemes and considering the combining performance of MIMO and HARQ technologies, this paper proposes a new CoRe strategy which is based on the dimension of code matrix. And then, on the new scene, this paper transfers the gray CoRe scheme therein into the un-gray CoRe scheme, and improves the performance of the system again.The theory and simulation analysis show that the proposed CoRe strategy and the CoRe scheme based on the dimension of code matrix can improve the performance of corresponding system under certain conditions.All proposed algorithms have strong compatibility with existing communication systems. The retransmission based on the optimal CoRe schemes can effectively improve the reliability of system with low complexity, so that it has high practical value.
