Research And Application Of Rational Unified Process In The E-Government System

With the increasing scale and the increasing complexity of software, the crisis of software has become more and more serious. The most effective way to solve this problem is the software reuse. In recent years, RUP (Rational the Unified Process software) has been widely used in the development process of specification software.However, RUP does not cover the entire content of the software process. For example, RUP lacks of maintenance, software operation and support, the organization and management. Besides, RUP does not significant support multi-project software development, which reduces the possibility of reuse in the development organization with a large range to some extent. Therefore, RUP can’t be a good solution to the development of large and complex projects as well.In this paper, study and compare the advantages and disadvantages and the applicable conditions of the traditional software development first. Then through combing with the advantages of the waterfall model, RUP is improved to guide the design and implementation large projects better based on the analysis of existing problems of RUP. Finally, by means of UML modeling tools, trademark registration and management automation system is taken as an example to explain how to apply the improved RUP to project practice. What is more, the advantages of the improved RUP are verified through the practice of trademark registration and management automation system.The practice shows that the efficiency and quality of the software system-trademark registration and management automation system has been obviously enhanced, which further demonstrates that the improved RUP is more conducive to comb the user needs, extract the public properties and behavior of system, form the public reuse component library, improve software quality and shorten the development cycle of the software system in complex business processes.
