Wireless Optical Communication with an infinite spectrum of alternatives, which combined wireless communication with optical communication, is providing a solution to the problem of growing tensions for limited radio frequency resources. Based on wireless optical signal propagation the Communication is an important Green technology and has a high-bandwidth, low-radiation, anti-jamming characteristics. Therefore more and more attention both in China and abroad is paid on this important future wireless communications research.This paper takes the system development as a purposing point. Broad research has done and general characteristics and advantages on optical wireless communications are also be analyzed. Several key technology problems on the system design were delivered. Finally, a communications test system based on Ultraviolet LED and Visible Light video presentation systems are developed in this paper.Based on existing wireless optical communication cases and by reference of traditional radio communication technology, the paper focuses on four key technical problems in system design. Such as:improvement on emission light of optical wireless communication; promotion on the detection performance at receiving ends; Digital signal filtering processor and channel error-erecting coding in wireless optical communication. And then, the paper design experiments on the completed test platform. Firstly, testing the affection of duty-factor on the source LED. Secondly, simulation and actual experiment on digital filter has taken on Matlab software and UV communication test platform respectively. And more, the gain of dual receiver for wireless optical communication has measured, which proved multiple receiver performance. At last, bit-error-rate evaluation of the RS error correction code, which is used in wireless optical communication, shows further performance enhance of the wireless optical communication.Finally, by summarizing above four key technologies and comparison the experimental results, the paper gives further programmers to improve the system performance.
