Research On Social Search Based On Social Information Foraging

The popularity of the Internet and social network such as micro-blog result in the convenience for the people. However, amounts of infor-mation being around us, it’s a big problem how to find information quickly and accurately in the networkYou can search in social network which still need to be searched. Information foraging theory provides a theoretical foundation to resolve the contradiction between people and information. As the expansion of information foraging theory, social information foraging can be used to study social network search.In this paper, applying the binary LOGISTIC model in social infor-mation foraging, an idea that the results in social search can be sorted by trust is proposed based on information foraging theory, after researching on social search and trust models. A user’s subjective decision-making on the choice of the search results is taken full account of and the developed trust model is validated. Also we explore the relationship of trust and the foraging time in basic social information foraging model, and basic social foraging model is extended. Finally, the design of a micro-blog search is proposed.
