After decades of development, the mobile communication technology has gone through three generations of mobile communication standards, and is currently being forward to4G through LTE. However, the former two mobile communication network upgrading, the rise of network data rate and the rapid increase of the number of users, result in a current situation of a large number of base stations, huge consumption of network energy and high cost of operation and maintenance.This situation causes the mobile communication network confronting two problems, high consumption and high cost. In mobile communication networks, base stations occupy73%of the total power, which are the major energy-consuming equipments. Therefore, applying a new implementation of lower energy consumption and higher ability on upgrade and expand to base station is one of the solutions to the above problems. The software defined radio technology based on GPP has some features as high performance, low cost, low energy consumption, high expandability and smooth upgradability. It is the most potential technology of implementing LTE as well as future base stations. The realization of LTE real-time communication link on GPP-based SDR platform, verifies the real-time signal processing capability of LTE baseband processing algorithm based on GPP. It is a fundamental step to realizing GPP-based soft base station.First, this thesis is focus on the GPP-based parallel optimization of LTE channel estimation algorithm, which is one of the real-time bottlenecks of the LTE real-time communication link on GPP-based SDR platform. This work mainly uses SSE instruction set and multicore-multithread parallel programming technology to optimize algorithm, and make the processing delay on GPP less than0.2ms, reaching the requirement of real-time transmission in LTE link.Further, LTE PDSCH and PUSCH on SORA SDR platform which based on GPP is realized, and the difference of receiving performance under different pilot insertion and different channel estimating algorithm is compared and analyzed, through the test results in real channel environment.At last, through designing the timing synchronization scheme of TD-LTE real-time communication link, the accurate uplink/downlink switch between two SORA platforms is achieved. Further, TD-LTE real-time communication link is built between two SORA platforms, with the combination of LTE PUSCH and PDSCH. The peak data rate of uplink and downlink both exceed40Mbps, achieving effective support for the transmission of high-definition video business.
