With the rapid popularization of the Internet and information technology, logistics industry has got rapid development. With the support of information technology, improvement and development of modern logistics system will directly or indirectly affect architecture of economic, economy system will rely on modern logistics system, to realize the upgrading of industries and regional innovation, the modern logistics will occupy an important strategic position in the socio-economic development in the future. The development direction of modern logistics will be the informationization of logistics, so the research of the logistics information system has a great significance.The main functions of modern information system are monitoring, collection, storage, processing, and output. With the modern information technology, the logistics information systems can effectively control the flows and save the cost, and also to supply a large number of valid data to managers and decision makers, to support them on the management and strategy level.With the marketization process gradually speed up, monopoly of the postal service was broken. The business of postal express is facing fierce competition in the market. The Beijing postal express and logistic company needs to improve the logistics information system of its own, to provide better support to meet the development of market. This study will analyze the overall demand, problems and room for improvement according to the overall business processes, and detailed design and development of logistics information system monitoring subsystem, to improve the company’s operational efficiency and enhance market competitiveness. The design and development of this system will use Eclipse platform which is plug-in rich and has strong integration capabilities, also use B/S structure, J2EE technology, open source frameworks such as Struts and Spring, thus to develop high stability, portability Logistics Information System. Also this system will use Ajax and other web technologies to improve the friendliness and operation of operator interface.
