Web service, with the advantage of cross-platform, self-description, modularization, and cross-firewall, is growing rapidly on Internet. After the traditional model of web service discovery faded away, it is an imperative issue that how to provide users with a powerful web service discovery platform. The vertical search engine, as the subdivision and branch of search engine, offers the portal for users to acquire professional service through deep integration of certain kind of web page resources. Thus, as web service search engine meets the essential demand of service discovery and the trend of Internet technology, it will provide great energy for the development of web service.To solve this problem, we design and implement the ranking retrieval subsystem of web service search engine. For the particularity of web service, the subsystem extracts the eigenvalue from web service, then gives an algorithm to calculate similarity, and consider services’QoS information and user log analysis to offer target web service set. By the comparison with previous directory method to search web service, the service search engine can not only help to obtain suitable web service, but also meet user’s personal demand on service retrieval measure, service discovery approach and service detail exhibition.In this thesis, we first introduce the background and significance and web service search engine, and current research overview. In chpter2, we briefly expound the relevant theory and technology this article will refer to. In chapter3, we analyze the demand of ranking module in web service search engine system, and elaborate on the main technical qualification. Then, in chapter4, we will give detail about the key technique the ranking subsystem will implement. In chapter5,according to the partition of modules, we show the details about each frame’s design and implementation about retrieval subsystem. In chaper6, we describe the test and deployment environment, and the main test cases.In the end, we give a brief summary on the whole thesis and show expectations for future work.
