Following the continuous rise of calculation in scientific area and continuous expend of high performance center scale, the cluster number are deeply increased. Considering the enormous difference on hardware and operation system, and scattered location equipments, the traditional monitoring method became more difficult to meet requirement due to more manpower and materials expense, especially, technical engineer study time. Therefore, a smart, efficient, new method, mobile, with great alarm regulation monitoring system would be required urgently in order to decrease the manpower consumption on cluster monitoring sharply.This article analyze common mobile phone and cluster monitoring open source software and propose to develop monitoring system based on Android mobile phone platform which combine wireless network and mobile phone with kinds of open source software and cluster information acquisition method. This monitoring system not only make Android itself advantage well include Gangliua and Nagios information, but also obtain equipment properties information by IPMI and system water cooling cabinet and UPS real time information by SNMP protocol. Android system as current essential smartphone operation system is convenient to develop programming thanks to open source mode. Gangliua and Nagios, well-known open source software in different monitoring area, can complementary advantages to each other, and both are excellent expandability and stability. The monitoring mode are more flexible and efficient, operators can obtain clusters and network status information everywhere everytime, that is convenient for equipment maintenance and high performance center operation, and easy to saving maintenance cost. At last, the article shows the developing real achievement and describes main functions, especially remote monitoring function. This article main characteristic and creation is below.(1)The cluster monitoring system based on open Android platform is proposed, which take advantage of Android open feature and realize the monitoring function, add communication and GPS application.(2)The system is excellent for future expandability. First, Ganglia and Nagios software can be applicant to increasing dimension due to reasonable distribution solution and open monitoring software. Moreover, the telephone function model can be added to make sure the system can be updated to meet operator requirements.(3) The monitoring mode is more flexible and different to traditional monitoring mode. It expand monitoring position area to everywhere with wireless network and provide a communication broadcast to administrators in order to void repeat maintenance working.(4) The monitoring system have good alarm method and many alarm type for unattended operation, as email or massage, due to smart telephone existing function that make sure the alarm unblock and timely.
