Because of the strong point of ultrasonic energy consumption is slow, and less susceptibleto electromagnetic interference, dust and so on, the application of ultrasonic technology is moreand more widely in contactless near distance, such as liquid level measurement, industriallocation, automobile collision avoidance radar. The ultrasonic phased array technology caneffectively control the beam focusing, and focusing region of the field strength than conventionalultrasonic techniques, the ultrasonic phased array technology can realize remote area scandetection. In this paper, the range to the front obstacle using ultrasonic phased array technology, and analyzes the ultrasonic phased array directivity characteristics, construct the ultrasonicphased array automatic ranging system to control the STM32F407MCU core. The introduction part of this paper describes the first ultrasonic technology as well asknowledge of ultrasonic ranging. Paper describes the addition to the ultrasonic ranging,non-contact detection technology as well as electromagnetic distance, infrared distancemeasurement, laser ranging, CCD ranging. By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of theabove several ranging means, get the basic idea and research direction for this design.Next article introduces the basic principles of ultrasonic phased array technology overviewultrasonic phased array implementations focus in a different location. It also has the advantage ofa relatively ordinary ultrasound ultrasonic phased array development of applications in variousfields, as well as ultrasonic phased array ranging sensor conductivity ranging. The third part of this article briefly describes the various components of the system. Thesystem mainly based on the Cortex-M4STMicroelectronics (STMicroelectronics, ST),32-bithigh-performance microcontrollers STM32F407controller. Ultrasonic array by10ultrasonictransducer in accordance with certain rules, wherein eight ultrasound transducer was the2х4ordered two-dimensional rectangular array of ultrasonic transmitter array, two ultrasonictransducers were placed in the transmit array surface two long sides of adjacent near as receiving ultrasonic echo sensor. The ultrasound array master chip peripheral circuits together to completethe ultrasound signal transmission and reception of the ultrasonic echo signal treatment processwill eventually be sent to the host computer data acquisition and processing display. The focus of this paper in the fourth part. Details the hardware design of the various parts ofthe system, including the design of the ultrasonic phased array, ultrasonic signal transmittingcircuit, the ultrasonic echo signal is received, and the preprocessing circuit. Wherein the signalprocessing circuit is mainly a preamplifier, filtered, envelope detector and a series of signalprocessing on the received ultrasonic echo signal. The same next Chapter focuses on software modular design of the system: the mainprogram, the temperature measurement subroutine to determine the focus position algorithm, subroutines, A/D interrupt service routines, etc., of which the main program completion ofsystem initialization, the respective ultrasonic transducer the energy converter array elementelectrically excitation pulse delay signal transmitter, and tasks such as starting and stopping ofthe A/D conversion, A/D interrupt service routine mainly used to complete the ultrasonic echosignal acquisition and conversion tasks. The last of this chapter also focuses on the minimummean Fang Shiyan estimated LMSTDE algorithm. The next automatic ranging system of the entire ultrasonic phased array testing and analysisof the results. Finally, we summarized this paper and prospected the future work.
