With the rapid development of information society, the authentication had been required in more and more fields and places. Most of the available identification tools didn’t have sufficient security performance that lead to identity information being obtained easily and illegally, so they could not satisfy the growing requirements of digitization and concealment of identity information. In our work, taking advantage of the features of PDF417two-dimension barcode such as high information density and being able to be encrypted and automatic recognized, the fingerprint identification and data encryption technology were combined with PDF417barcode and applied in identification field. A requirement of designing portable identity recognition system based on PDF417barcode and data encryption technology was proposed.The identity recognition system included two parts, one was the concealment of user’s identity information and the encoding of PDF417certificate, and the other was the identification and verification of the permittee’s identity information. Used PDF417barcode as the carrier to storage information, user’s identity information was encrypted and encoded into PDF417barcode, which was printed on a certificate. When authentication, the2D barcode was scanned and read by PDF417barcode reading device, then the hidden identity information was decrypted out to verify the certificate’s authenticity. In addition, utilizing the uniqueness of fingerprint, fingerprint information of permittee was collected on the spot, which was compared with the fingerprint data that extracted from barcode to verify the authenticity of permittee, realized the double authentication of permittee and certificate.The main research contents included:(1) The encoding theory of PDF417barcode and judgment methods of fingerprint identification technology were investigated. According to the notion of double authentication, a design scheme of identity recognition system based on PDF417barcode and data encryption technology was proposed.(2) Principles of data encryption standard (DES), advanced encryption standard (AES) and public-key algorithm RSA were analyzed and summarized, and their advantages and shortness were compared. An identity data encryption and decryption system based on Lab VIEW development platform was designed and implemented.(3) Image processing technology that used in PDF417barcode recognition was researched, including image grayscale change, noise reduction, image binarization and image correction. And compared the effect of several implementation methods, barcode image preprocessing based on NI Vision Assistant was completed.(4)The key technology of decoding of PDF417barcode was discussed. A quick and effective method to calculate the width of the unit module in PDF417barcode was proposed, and applied in PDF417decoding. (5) A recognition and decoding system of PDF417barcode based on Lab VIEW was designed and implemented, the system could process and analyze the images containing PDF417barcode collected by camera in real time, achieved the fast and omnibearing decoding of the barcode.This identity recognition system has significant characteristics of high efficiency, sufficient security and excellent portability. It could prevent the phenomenon of certificate forgery and abuse effectively, realize the automatic identification of identity information in real time, and achieve the purpose of anti-counterfeiting. It would have broad application prospect.
