A RIR-based Locating Method Of GSM System Uplink Interference

The difficulty of GSM system network optimization lies in the positioning of the interference. Many disadvantages still exist in the traditional system data analysis, as well as the field test method, such as low efficiency, high cost and so on, which cannot fulfill the requirements of informationization and intelligentialize of the current optimization. Therefore, this thesis starts with RIR data which records frequency and interference intensity information from uplink direction in a cell, and puts emphasis on the three kinds of uplink interference characteristics on the RIR charts. And the purpose of this paper is to put forward a RIR-based locating method of GSM system uplink interference.This approach is based on the principle of field-testing interference. Through the steps of defining RIR measurement file in the background, interpreting the RIR file, and displaying the RIR data by a straight-line graph intuitively, the RIR waveforms can be acquired which are similar to the spectrum scanned by the field instrument. Thus this method can avoid of the field-testing session. At the same time, different interferences present their respective characteristics in frequency range, interference intensity and the interference intensity trend. According to their interference characteristics, the interference judgments can be made. From the perspective of optimization, this thesis makes research on the interference characteristics of the passive intermodulation interference, the CDMA interference and the unauthorized installation of repeater interference on RIR chart, and designs intelligent judgment algorithms of these interference.This method has been applied in the optimization of uplink interference special project for a China mobile company. The fact indicates that it is a practical method to judge whether the above-mentioned uplink interference exists in the community accurately. Compared with traditional methods, the advantages of the detection method are obvious in the efficiency and cost. Meanwhile, by the orientation of the RIR data, the entire uplink interference judgment carries on. In the current information technology, this method can be easily integrated into the software platform, which realizes the processize and intelligentization of interference judgment.
