China Blue Chemical Ltd of Fudao has a plant,which mainly produces granular urea. The designed annual production capacity of Fudao Phase I is520,000tons and synthetic ammonia is300,000tons.The plant was made in Japan and Italy, using the advanced British ICI synthetic ammonia production process and ammonia stripping urea process and hydro fluidized bed granulation technology.The plant all adopts DCS collecting and distributing system and PLC logic control system. Its advantage is low energy consumption and high degree of automationThe plant has been running for more than16years, a lot of facilities in this plant has been aged especial the part of the control system, To be insured our plant can be operated safely and stably and to run smoothly for a long period of time. The key to it is doing something on the equipment update and alteration.The alteration for the control system will become a critical subject.The article is comprehensively around the core of enterprise control system transformation It mainly introduces the process condition of the PGR unit in synthetic ammonia plant, and it also put forward the existing problems and the insufficiency according to the plant. The most cost-effective retrofit design scheme would be put forward to the control system using now. The scheme may completely improve the control performance of the system, solve the problem of the aging hardware and the poor auxiliary diagnostic ability etc Meanwhile, combined with the years of operation experience, we also optimize the control system in all aspects, and eliminate the existing defects and hidden dangers. The transformation of the system not only reduces the cost,but also Provides a convenience on the routine maintenance and equipment management in future, meanwhile, we never need the spare parts.The new control system has been officially put on March20,2012. It has been running for half year, The new system not only can cover all of the original system control functions but also can optimize and improve the system.
