Structured-light3D shape measurement, with the features of non-contact, high sensitivity and high accuracy, has great applications in enormous areas, including manufacturing, aerospace, cultural relic protection, medical care, art sculpture etc.System calibration, as a foundation of3D profile measurement system to accomplish measuring task, is the important guarantee of restoring3D space information from2D image information. In this paper the principle of structured-light3D shape measurement is firstly introduced. Based on the model of camera and projector, the camera calibration and projector calibration method are proposed.the main work is as follows:(1) Camera model foundation, and propose a camera calibration algorithm According to transformation among the three coordinate systems, The camera’s linear pinhole model is established based on the holes of the imaging principle, besides, considering the optical distortion, the nonlinear camera distortion is added to the model. By using MATLAB’s graphical user interface (GUI) function, this paper proposes the camera calibration process, based on the ZhangZhengyou’s plane calibration method. Thus we can fast solve the camera intrinsic and external parameters.(2) Establish projector model,complete projector’s calibration and get projector’s internal and external parameters. In above camera model, the projection of the projector process can be regarded as a reverse camera. Obtain the projector image calibration plane’s spatial point by using camera parameters, then, through the camera calibration method to complete projector calibration and get projector’s internal and external parameters.(3) set up the experimental measurement system, and complete the system calibration, access to system parameters, and then carry on the restructuring experiments.
