WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks, wireless sensor networks) has graduallybecome one of the hot current researches due to its acquisition and processing ofobject information is a set of perception, data processing and control in one. Byarranging a large number of tiny sensor nodes within the coverage area, thesenodes can acquire large number of information of the coverage area. Then, wecan get the information through the wireless transmission. So it is veryconvenience for us to monitor remote area. As a new information acquisition andprocessing technology, multi-hop wireless sensor network collects and processesinformation in order to achieve large-scale detection and tracking. Wirelesslocation technology is the three support technologies of WSN, a prerequisite forits work. The ability to accurately locate or not is an important norm of WSN. Inthis paper, we studied the localization algorithms at this stage and suggested toimprove the APIT, including the following:First, the principles and structures of WSN were summarized. Theimportance of localization for WSN is analysised. Followed, we classified thelocalizition algorithms and described some of them in detail. Then some indexsfor describle localization algorithm have been summarized. We were thencommited to the APIT algorithm. Based on studying principle and defects, animproved method called Energy Threshold was proposed to reduce the In-to-Outande Out-to-In error. Besides, a node upgrade standard called MobileCollaboration was proposed to increase the pencentage of the localizationcoverage.Matlab simulation showed that the improved algorithm reduces the location error and improves the accuracy fifteen percent to twenty-five percent atthe same anchor node proportion. Localization coverage has greatly improved too.
