The multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) technology is a major breakthrough of smart antennain the field of wireless communications, which use a multi-antenna transmitting the signalindependently and use a multi-antenna at the receiving end receiving signals, then restoring theoriginal information. Without increasing bandwidth and transmission power, MIMO can improvethe bandwidth by introducing a spatial dimension communication. This thesis focuses on the MIMOSDMA technology. The definition of independent Rayleigh fading channel (IRFC), single-user andmulti-user MIMO channel capacity in MIMO theoretical will be discussed. The method ofeliminating multipath interference (MPI) by using mid-amble sequence and frequency spreadingcode (FSC) is putted forward. Combined with the SDM and Shannon formula, the S-PCA system isdiscussed. The specific contents are as follows:Firstly, several MIMO key technology researches, such as the principles of spatial multiplexing,diversity technology and so on, are discussed. MIMO fading channel definition is disserted. Theresults of the single-user MIMO channel discontinuity capacity and outage capacity and multi-userMIMO multiple access channel capacity are analyzed respectively. The simulation results is givenalso.Secondly, how to derive the MIMO common channel matrix model by the using of MIMO andJoint Detection (JD) matrix model is disserted. JD is an important technology in smart antenna andMIMO. There is little research about it. Even have, there is no clear physical concept. The conceptof JD is made clearer by its principle and algorithm with physical model presented in this thesis.Also a method for eliminating multi-path interference (MPI) by using mid-amble sequence andfrequency spreading code (FSC) would be presented, and a JD constructed by that method would beproposed in the thesis.Finally, based on multi-antenna transmitting beam directionality and Shannon formula basictheory, and combined whit phased array technology (PCA), Shannon phased array system (S-PCA)is discussed, which can further increase the channel capacity. Then, combined with the SDM andShannon formula, the S-PCA’s channel capacity formula and numerical simulation results will bepresented.
