Wavelength conversion is a key technology of WDM. Based on the cross phase modulation, wavelengthconversion technology is simple in structure, wide in conversion wavelength range high in conversionefficiency, so it will become a widely used wavelength conversion technology. Photonic crystal fiber (PCF)with high nonlinear and low loss characteristics, has great research and application value in opticalcommunication field.A kind of high nonlinear photonic crystal fiber is proposed in this paper. Photonic crystal fiber is studiedin the inner and outer diameter of air holes and air holes of the layer on the nonlinear coefficient, the influenceof the loss and dispersion. The results are shown that when Λ=0.9um, the first layer of air hole diameterd1=0.2um, the second and the third air hole diameter d2=0.5um, the fourth to the eighth layer of air holediameter d3=0.8um, the nonlinear coefficient is24.78w1km1, the loss is4.9*10-6db/km, the dispersionbelow1ps/km/nm ideal structure.The photonic crystal fiber nonlinear coefficient, loss and fiber length are simulated on the influence of thesystem. When the pump light wavelength is1555nm with0dbm power, signal wavelength is1545nmwith10dbm power, fiber length is100m, nonlinear coefficient is24.78, the loss is4.9*10-6db/km, filter center wavelength is1565.2nm, bandwidth is0.1nm, the conversion efficiency can reach-11dband SNR can reach56.22db.Photonic crystal is studied in structure parameters influence on wavelength conversion, found thatdecreasing the first layer of air hole diameter, and can improve the efficiency of wavelength conversion; higherwavelength conversion efficiency and SNR can get by selecting the appropriate optical fiber length. Pumpwavelengths was studied at the same time, the pump power and signal optical power of the influence ofwavelength conversion, found that the pump is within the range of1505nm-1595nm wavelength convertercan be realized; When the pump wavelength at1555nm, conversion efficiency best; Wavelength conversionefficiency and SNR with the increase of the pump light and signal light power increases. The results ofwavelength conversion based on photonic crystal fiber has certain guiding significance.
