LTE project is the evolution of3G technology. Research on LTE has received widespreadattention and has become the mainstream direction of the communications industry. Due to thelimited radio resources, research on how to improve the system throughput and spectral efficiencyhas become the hot spot of today’s communication sector. Good performance packet schedulingalgorithm is the key method to solve this problem. This paper is aim to research a well-performedpacket scheduling algorithm applied to the downlink LTE system.Introduction of the LTE system include LTE frame structure, the main interface and wirelessinterface protocols and main key technologies are propised in the beginning of the thesis. Then adetailed description on the radio resource management in wireless communication system and somepacket scheduling algorithms are given. Finally this thesis shows a detailed introduction on a newproposed packet scheduling algorithm and the simulation results are given in Chapters IV and V.The main point of this paper is in Chapters IV and V, a good performance packet schedulingalgorithms for real-time business is proposed in this thesis. The new proposed algorithm uses adynamic priority functionusers to determine the order of priority of different users in system. Thepriority function uses the HOL packet delay, packet loss rate and the instantaneous rate of the useras parameter. This makes the system taking into account both the delay-sensitive characteristics ofreal-time service and different channel quality when scheduling of the users. Thereby the proposedalgorithms achieve the goal of meetting different QoS requirements user services and increasing thethroughput of the system. The simulation results verified the feasibility and performance of thesuperiority of the proposed algorithm.
