In recent years, with the gradual rise of the mobile Internet, the user experience became moreand more important. And therefore how to meet the different needs of different users becomes oneof the main research fields of service providers. The same as traditional network, the video serviceswill continue to be the most popular application that meets the most user needs in mobile Internet.And because video services’ highly requirements for hardware and software, and different terminalsupports video formats vary widely, so it is inevitable to do the video adaptation when the samevideo service is required by different end-user to get better user-experience.The thesis uses video migration technology as the main application scenarios, and mainlystudy video transmission and video adaptation. In video transmission, in order to make the networkhaving preferably heterogeneous network adaptability, using hybrid P2P video transmissionnetwork architecture. In this architecture, the super nodes services as central server, and at the sametime, different nodes can communicate with each other equally. About video adaptation, accordingto the result of compare different adapter mode, the main components of adaptation will bedeployed on the video server and this will reduce the difficulty of adaptation algorithms andimprove the realization of system.In the realization of this system, it uses the open source project JXTA as the base of P2Ptechnology. In consideration of the characteristics of information transmission in JXTAand improvethe utilization efficiency of context, XML documents was used as context transmission medium andit were collected and analyzed by super nodes. In order to make the system model is easier tounderstand, the JMF was used to realize the video server, video client and video transmissioncontrol module, because the abstract models of JMF are corresponding to the physical model in reallife. After an in-depth research on the two kinds of technologies, the thesis integrates them togetherto construct a video transmission system that can do well in heterogeneous network. In the processof testing, the system operates well and the aims were achieved.
