Then study the image preprocessing technology, the digital image license plate recognition system method, and image transformation, image enhancement and image segmentation techniques were discussed in detail. Then, the positioning of the license plate segmentation study conducted by the characteristics of the license plate segmentation analysis and positioning theory introduction, the paper edge detection and projection method of license plate location segmentation methods focus on the discussion. Finally the license plate recognition system character recognition algorithm, based on the characteristics of character recognition, a recognition result based on multi-frame fusion of character recognition algorithm, test results show that the algorithm can recognize Chinese characters, numbers and letters, with good adaptability and accuracy.
