With great freedom, airborne planar phased array (numeric array) radar has good future in application Analyse its dimension reduction STAP is one of the hot topics at present. The non-side-looking airborne radar has non-average character, which will rapidly reduce its STAP performance. This paper researched non-average subsection and Elevation Adaptive with STAP to analyse the short-range Clutter-suppression of numeric array radar.Chapter1talked about background and significance of STAP.Chapter2mainly talked about dimension reduction of numeric array radar, through the results emulator, and compare with normal process, validate its deduction performance in time and space.Chapter3researched clutter property, especially short-range Clutter, emulate short-range Clutter’s distance-Doppler distribution, give non-average subsection method.An elevation adaptive algorithm is presented according to the Elevation freedom in Chapter4. This algorithm can eliminate short-range clutter while reserving the long-range clutter. Thus, the clutter range dependence is alleviated, which is of great help for latter STAP in azimuth and time domain. Emulate a group of one pulse data which only has short-range Clutter. To compare the performance of the directly-composing, diagonal-loading and subspace-amending. The directly composing has a bad Elevation beam capability, thus has a bad performance. The other two methods have good performance in short-range Clutter-suppression, and meantime they will not destroy target capability. But diagonal loading is difficult to make sure of value of loading, and subspace amending has higher computations.In chapter5, a calculate compare of normal STAP and STAP with elevation adaptive algorithm is proposed, and also give a practical projection.In chapter6, a summary of the entire paper is conducted, and also give a look at further advances.
