| With the development over the recent years, GSM technology has been matured. As a new way of consumption, SMS on demand service has been attached importance by GSM network operators increasingly and accepted by people gradually. Since most SMS on demand service systems cost highly on hardware and great working capacity of the maintenance by now, this article proposed a design scheme of a song request service system via SMS based on GSM network. A customer with a mobile phone can edit and send a song name which is in the specified format to the system, then by broadcasting the request via FM stereophonic, other customers can receive the blessing. Therefore, the system simplifies the operation of song request greatly. The hardware of the song request service system in this article mainly includes the kernel control module based on AVR embedded single-chip computer ATmega32, using Siemens GSM module TC35as SMS transmitting and receiving platform, U disk as the storage medium for music files, and TF memory card used for the system files such as Chinese character library, MP3file lists and background pictures of LCD screen. Moreover, this system utilizes VS1003as MP3audio decoding chip and QN8027as stereo FM transmitter chip. On the basis of the hardware circuit design, the software design and debugging of the song request service system has been carried on. The software modularity of the system functions including MP3player, FM transmitter and SMS transmitting and receiving is expected. In addition, both the software and hardware structures of these core modules and the corresponding concrete implementation methods are specified. The working process of the song request service system based on SMS technique is expatiated mainly as below. A SMS of song request will be transmitted from a customer to the kernel control module in the format PDU via GSM module. Then, by analyzing the content of SMS correctly, the kernel control module extracts valid information about song request, searches for the selected song from U disk, and read the audio files. After that, the data stream will be transferred to MP3decoding module, which restores from data stream in MP3/WMA format to audio analog signal and transfers to FM transmitter module. Finally, by means of high frequency power amplifier module, the signal will be sent wirelessly and customers can listen in to the song on the radio.Through holistic testing, the functions of the song request service system based on SMS technique are verified. The audio files can be played properly, the song request is switched normally and FM Radio receives audio signal synchronously. Therefore, the system has been achieved the above functions and works steadily and reliably. The system has the advantages of low-cost, low power consumption and easy maintenance, which should be able to satisfy GSM customers’entertainment applications request. |
