With the rapid development of the millimeter-wave (MMW) imaging technology in the last two decades, MMW imaging system is more widely used in areas such as security, medical, navigation and traffic control. MMW imaging is mainly mechanical mode nowadays, which restricts the scanning speed. A fast scanning way of MMW imaging is designed.Firstly, based on a comprehensive understanding of the fashionable situation of rapid domestic of MMW imaging scanning system throughout the world, the way of dual rotating surface MMW imaging fast scan is designed combined with the actual experimental conditions. Based on the principle of the quasi-optical rotation, the system is composed by two inclined rotating plane concerted with a pitch reflecting surface, and the speed of the system upgrades. ZEMAX software is used to simulate the optical path of scan, the relationship between the scan horizon and the inclination angle of the rotating faces are calculated, and the relevant parameters of speed matching between the horizontal scanning mirrors and the tilting mirror and the overall scanning time are also calculated. According to the comparison, the fast scanning is verified.Secondly, the image distortion of the dual rotating surface fast imaging scanning mode generated during the scanning process is analyzed, and two methods of image distortion correction are discussed and a new improved curved distortion correction method is put forward combined with the actual distorted image.Finally, based on the distorted MMW image of a ball from laboratory, the curved distortion correction method is used to correct the distortion of MMW image, and by using MATLAB simulation, the image correction is verified correctly.A fast imaging scanning system based on dual rotating surface is completed, and the image distortion generated during the scanning process is analyzed, and a new image distortion correction method is put forward.
