Carbon fiber is a kind of special fiber, which is containing more than90%and has high strength, high modulus, high temperature resistant. It has high strength, high stiffness, light weight, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, excellent electrical properties, strong compressive and bending resistance properties. China’s carbon fiber production and development process is slow and carbon fiber yield and quality can not meet the need of our country modernization. IoT is the third wave of the information industry after the computer, the Internet and mobile communication network. Therefore, applying the IoT technology into carbon fiber production process monitoring has very important sense to break foreign carbon fiber technology barriers, improve China’s carbon fiber production capacity and modernize our country.In this thesis, we first design the whole framework of carbon fiber production process monitor system based on the requirement and the detailed system module. Then, according to the analysis of the current mature several wireless communication technology and the characteristics carbon fiber production process monitoring, we design wireless sensor network based on ZigBee. Then we design the ARM gateway to manage the wireless sensor networks and the data transmission with Samsung Corp’s S3C2410chip. Finally, we study on the technology of data fusion and propose a heterogeneous sensor data fusion method based on improved adaptive weighted algorithm and iteration algorithm. It can effectively reduce the wireless sensor network data acquisition error.The realization of the carbon fiber production process monitor system based on IoT, uniting the IoT and the carbon fiber production, must make a contribution to promote China carbon fiber industry development.
