With the extensive use of P2P applications,it has occupied a large amount ofcampus network bandwidth, and it has produced many security problem.P2Ptrafficcontrol has become an indispensable component for protecting network and improvingnetwork efficiency. Campus network is different from enterprise network, user’srequirement must be fully regard. At present,a lot of scheme of P2Ptraffic controlidentify P2Ptraffic by analyzing port numbers or payload.However,with the rapiddevelopment of P2Ptechnology,the P2Psoftware Can now hidden itself by usingdynamic ports,and protocol encryption technology.Based on the background discussed above,this paper presents a scheme ofP2Ptraffic control,which is an integrated scheme of Data mining approach andpayload—based analysis.The use of Data mining approach is to identify P2Ptraffic andmanage network bandwidth,while the use of payload—based analysis is to identify andmanage the corresponding flow behavior, cooperate with the strategy of the P2Ptrafficcontrol to make the campus network more efficiency and regard user’s requirement.The paper point out the problems on P2Ptraffic identification and management atfirst.Then, in order to solve the problems,this paper proposed a composite of P2Ptraffic control scheme based on compound firewall. The P2Ptraffic control scheme carryon research with the traffic identification by data mining, uses K-Means algorithm toclassify the study data and establish the model,and then identifiesP2Ptraffic by NNmethods.And proposes the payload-based traffic control module by using a fast stringsearching algorithm. Then analysis the characteristics of campus network traffic andCombined with practical of the user’s requirement. then through a simulationexperiment to prove that scheme could identify P2P traffic effectively and accurately.Combined with the characteristics of campus network,we used a complete set of trafficcontrol policy, and brings forward the new research directions in the future....
