With the rapid development of Chinese economic growth and road traffic, Chinese carownership is rapidly increased, and at the result road traffic accidents also increasedsignificantly. In order to solve the problem of traffic safety, safety and driver assistance systemscome into being. Intelligent automobile’s anti-collision and alarm system is designed for roadvehicles collisions as a core part of the driving safety aids. When the car runs on the highway,the system can detect surrounding traffic information. When judging the existing danger, it canalert the driver through sound and light alarm; if the case is emergency, the system can directlycontrol car to turn or brake, to avoid accidents occur.Because visual images can provide more extensive information and taking into accountthe cost of the system and real-time visual technology, Intelligent automobile’s anti-collisionand alarm system based on visual images most widely studied. With the continuousdevelopment and improvement of digital signal processing technology and embeddedtechnology, embedded hardware level continuously improve the computing speed of the DSPand FPGA chip, integration, and data throughput performance also continued to increase, basedon image processing technology and embedded Intelligent automobile’s anti-collision andalarm system has also become a hot research.Design is intelligent automobile’s anti-collision and alarm system based on DSP+FPGAembedded. As the main control chip, DSP is responsible for controlling the entire system, andachieving high-level processing algorithms; as DSP co-processor, FPGA is responsible forimage acquisition and image pre-processing work. After completion of the hardware circuitdesign, design have implemented the FPGA image acquisition. Design have researched Imageprocessing algorithms in intelligent automobile’s anti-collision and alarm system. Based onfinite ridgelet transform, give a combination of orthogonal wavelet transform method. The carcan be detected better even in a complex background environment effect though the algorithm.
