This paper deals with Ridgelet Transform in imagery processing, which involves the basic theory of Wavelet Transform and Ridgelet Transform, finite Ridgelet transform in image denoising and in image fusion. Firstly, depending on analysis wavelet transform theory, binding merits and demerits of wavelet transform, for overcoming the deficiency of wavelet transform at image processing, we introduce basic theory of Ridgelet transform. Secondly, a improvement of image denoising algorithm based Ridgelet transform is presented to overcome the disadvantage and deficiency of the common threshold method at image denoising. The exponential threshold function and the adaptive SureShrink threshold value are applied into this approach. Thirdly, Ridgelet transform is applied in image fusion, adopted the fusion rule of regional variance, an image fusion algorithm based on finite Ridgelet transform has appeared. The results of experiment indicate image denoising and fusion algorithm based on Ridgelet gain better effects than wavelet transform. |
