Satellite network systems have many excellencies, such as wide-field overlay, long communicating distance, access simply, better expansibility, and supporting for multi-service communications and so on. On account of abroad application increasingly, it is an important part of the next generation of Global System for Mobile Communications. As the key part of the satellite network, satellite network routing technology determine efficiency and reliability of the entire satellite network system. Because of its significantly time-varying characteristics of the topology and resource-constrained characteristics, making that network can not be directly applied to terrestrial wired and wireless networks mature routing method, therefore, a routing technology, which is highly effective、satisfy the dynamic speciality of network topology, destruction-resistant and adaptive in flux changement, is imperatively to study.Firstly this article summarize the research status of monolayer and multi-layer satellite network routing technology, and classify satellite routing technology to three part, included comprised virtualized time strategy, virtualized space strategy, dynamic strategy. On this basis, secondly, followed by a research to design constellation of satellite network and analyzing the characteristics of the satellite constellation network, the GEO/LEO double-layered satellite network as network model of routing algorithm in this article is confirmed. Due to inelasticity in virtualized space strategy and dynamic strategy, combined with the GEO/LEO double-layered satellite network characteristics, a virtualized time and layered management routing algorithm (VLRA) is developed in this paper, consisted of improved virtualized time strategy, layered management strategy, calculate and update routing strategy. Lastly, Through analysis and simulation, it’s shown that the improved virtualized time strategy obtains more rational snapshot, which is helpful for the network routing and communication, stable delay, better packet loss as well as throughput performance are gotten when VLRA is implemented in GEO/LEO double-layered satellite networks.The main innovation and research results are summarized as follows:(1) Toward the snapshot by virtualized time strategy is too short to affect the routing performance, thus, a routing algorithm (VLRA) is putted forward, based on GEO/LEO double-layered satellite network, the improved virtualized time strategy divide a snapshot rationally, and the corresponding layered management strategy manage play the action to mange GEO/LEO network nodes, moreover, the main of VLRA is calculate and update routing strategy.(2) Design the simulation project, which include two parts:designing the simulation scenarios of GEO/LEO double-layered satellite network, and the GUI interface program, as well as snapshot partition of network topology; to create a routing simulation platform, contained two experimentation to verify the performance of this algorithm.
