Design And Implementation Of Editorial Department Management System Based On Struts And Hibernate Frame

With the development of internet, using the network as management platform hasbecome the main stream of improving the efficiency of management systems. As people’seducation qualifications continue to improve, each academic journal contribution amount ismultiplied, editing the manuscript become an complex task, higher requirements are putforward to manuscript management system. At present, some editorial department still inpaper manuscript editing, not only bring editors hard work, but also has low efficiency. Inorder to get rid of this working model, editorial department management system based onnetwork platform become effective ways to improve work efficiency and standardizedmanagement system.This paper analyzes the current domestic and foreign research status of editorialdepartment management system; compare the characteristics between C/S and B/Sarchitecture. Making the Harbin press management system as background, detailed analysisits work process, disscuss web development technologies, mainstream framework and variousdatabase technology, adapt SH(Struts and Hibernate) frame design. Interface design using JSP,function implementation using Java, data management using Oracle, ensured the systemstability and availability.This article is on the basis of intensive study on editorial work, by analyzing the users’demand in this field; determine the system’s function and objective. Designing functionincluding manuscript information management; personal information management; changesof all categories of personnel information; inquire and statistic information subject to certainconditions; output and print the query and statistic results; system data backup and recovery;manage editors, etc. Then analysis structure of the system, as well as basic flow in dealingwith manuscripts, propose general design of the system, model the system design using UMLtechnology, and establish the various function modules of the system and database design.Finally, on the basis of the research results above, detailed discuss the realization of thesoftware development process.The development of editorial department management system can save the working timeand improve work efficiency, and adapt to the communication of science and technology in the new era. It’s a project with great practical value.
