This paper studied the key technologies of infrared dynamic scene simulator,including drive and converter of infrared image, took the digital micromirror as the keycomponents of infrared image converter, designed a driver of image coding which isbased on FPGA. Proposed a method which named gradient overlay synthesis algorithmto solve the low gray level of spatial grayscale modulation for digital micro-mirror, andtested on the hardware platform, compared the results of the accurately codingsimulation of the hardware platform and that of Matlab, verified the feasibility ofgradient overlay synthesis algorithm and completed a high grayscale level of spatialmodulation of the digital micro-mirror, achieved transcoding from image of high graylevel to voltage drive signal for digital micro-mirror, provided generating infrared scenefor digital micro-mirror, played a role in promoting the development and practicalapplication of infrared dynamic scene simulator in the future.
