Micro-CT is known for its high resolution, nondestructive, low-cost and lowradiation. CT systems are being deployed in large numbers for small animal imaging, dental imaging, and other specialty applications. In order to obtain better imagereconstruction results, the geometric calibration of the system must be taken intoaccount. System of misalignment will result in appearing artifacts in the reconstructedimage, sometimes more serious distortion. So it is important for high-quality CTreconstruction that how.to achieve the geometric calibration of CT system convenientlyand effectively.A high-precision Micro-CT system calibration methods is used in this paper, andintroduce the geometric calibration of software design and implementation. Theparameters using for CT system geometric calibration and later3D reconstruction areachieved from multi-angle projection images of geometric calibration phantomembedded with eight steel balls. This thesis focuses on the history of the development of CT and backgroundknowledge of geometric calibration. The second chapter describes the geometriccalibration methods in this paper, focusing on the five parameters. The third chapterfocuses on the geometric calibration software module design and development in thisMicro-CT software, this plug-in module is developed by QT and MITK, which has amore user-friendly interface design. Finally, some simulation experiments are carried tofurther validate the robustness and effectiveness, as well as the impact on the results bydifferent number of projection of the calibration parameters.
