MAC(Media Access Control) protocol is also an important part of an Ad Hoc network, which is a key factor that affects the performances of a network directly. As the researchers continue to explore the field of communications, many new technologies have been proposed. As one of the most important new technologies, Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology can enhance capacity and frequency spectrum utilization efficiency of communication system while maintaining the same bandwidth. While the Multi-channel technology can effectively weaken the conflict on a single channel by utilizing multiple channels. Therefore, the design of Multi-channel MAC protocols with MIMO technology is of vital importance to improve the performance of Ad Hoc networks. To effectively combine Ad Hoc networks with MIMO technology and Multi-channel technology, MC_MAC protocol is proposed, which is a distributed Multi-channel MAC protocol for Ad Hoc networks with Multi-packet reception and Interference suppression. By adopting the reasonable handshake mechanism to achieve functional of Multi-packet reception and Multi-channel, this protocol enhances the performance of overall networks. The OPNET simulation results show that the throughput and delay will be significantly improved via our proposed scheme compared with other available schemes. Moreover, this protocol is implemented in the USRP platform, which validates that our scheme has good performance in a real environment.
