MAC(Media Access Control) protocol is an important part of an Ad Hoc network, which is a direct factor which affects the performances of a network. A CSMA/CA protocol based on MIMO technology is presented. This protocol employ MIMO technology to achieve concurrent link transmissions that have the same interference type or not, and multi-packets reception. This protocol can also be used in networks with several types of links (such as reuse and group reuse links). Better throughputs and delay of MAC protocol are testified through simulation results.Routing protocol is also an important part of an Ad Hoc network, the design of a routing protocol based on MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) which be used in Ad Hoc Network is a hot spot in present research. In this paper, a cognitive routing protocol with MIMO technology is proposed. With employing MIMO technology, we obtain various gains corresponding to different types of links in the communication link of multi-antennas. In this protocol, different types of links are selected and cognitive progress is utilized to learn and predict the state of network through Q-learning, then the optimal live time of routing and the period of the hello packets are determined with the aid of the above results, thus the performance of the network is greatly improved.
