Design And Implementation Of A Secure Wireless Mesh Network Access Protocol WSP-M

With the development of wireless Mesh network technology in recent years, it hasbeing widely used in both military and commercial fields, and playing important roles.At the same time, the security issues caused by its special architecture are attractingmore and more attention. The research of Mesh network security protocol has became ahot topic.In this paper, based on the analysis and study of the existing secure technolo gy, Anew secure access protocol WSP-M in wireless Mesh network is designed. The WSP-Mcombines the identity authentication and four way handshakes together, which reducesthe steps of the interation in the protocol. During the access procedure, WSP-Mproduces not only MSK, but also PMK-L0between supplicant and authentication server,which is used in the fast handoff period, so that during the fast handoff procedure,WSP-M does not have to run WSP-M access protocol, but just produce session key byprevious PMK-L0, so that Mesh Point can execute handoff safely and fast whenroaming between neighbor areas. Then, WSP-M is implemented on the basis of opensource software by adding some software modules. Finally, by testing WSP-M, theconclusion that WSP-M is safe and efficient is reached.
