The Design And Implementation Of Vertical Search Engine On Mobile

With the rapid development of the internet, information explosion has happened. To find out the specific information on a specific topic is more and more difficult, general search engines such as Google and Baidu,provide a general resolution of searching information on the internet for users.But,if users want to search specific information on a specific topic, general search engines only provide very little information on this and information they return to users is almost inrelevant to the topic which users are interested in. To find out the specific information on a specific topic,we need to use the specific search engine, it is called the vertical search engine.The emergence of vertical search engines is to resolv the problem of low coverage rate and low accuracy rate of specific information general search engines can provide.The paper introduces the emergence and classification of search engines.Introduces the development history of search engines and research background of the vertical search engine and also introduces its research status at home and abroad. And then analyzes the difference on architecture and key technology between vertical search engines and general search engines.Also introduces superiority of the vertical search engine and evaluation criterion for search engines. It deeply researches key technology of the vertical search engine. Include the distribution characteristics of the webpage on the internet, search strategy of the vertical search engine, topic interralted calculating and structured information extraction. Furthermore,this paper comprehensively studies major function modules of the vertical search engine includes the topic initialization, web crawlers,information filter and parser of the content of webpages,Chinese word segmentation and index and user interface. Vertical search engines can get more efficient performance includes accuracy rate,recall rate and efficiency than general search engines.Finally, this paper designs and realizes major function modules of the vertical search engine.and based on these, this paper finally realizes the vertical search engine.The vertical search engine realized by the paper is on the search of mobile phone. The development environment isWindows XP+Eclipse3.6+Tomcat6.0+Mysq15.1+Lucene3.0.2+Heritrix1.14.3.Innovations of this paper are:To expand and improve the open source clawler framework called heritrix. Designs a special clawer that only grab the information about mobile phone.To expand the Chinese word segmentation tools called JE. Make the word stock to be a specific word stock for mobile phone.To design and realize a specific search strategy which combine the appraise of the webpage and the web search strategy. This specific search strategy can improve the accuracy rate,and also avoid the phenomenon of topic drift.
