Electronic image stabilization is a new technology to stabilize image sequences, which combines with electronic science, computer science, digital signal processing technology and is widely used in the fields of medical science, aerospace, military affairs, industry, and criminal investigation. For a long time, the research of video and image processing, including the electronic image stabilization technology, has been carried out mostly in the pixel domain, which not only has a large amount of calculation, but also has the higher time cost and the lack of real time.With the development of multimedia technology and the video compression standard, a large amount of image video data, stored and transmitted, are used in different compression standards, such as MPEG-4, H.263and H.264standards. Video image processing in compressed domain can be achieved without fully decoding the code stream. The amount of data which need processing is greatly reduced and real time is also greatly enhanced. Therefore, the research of image processing method in the compressed domain is of more practical significance and of wide concern.H.264is the latest international video compression coding standard and of the most excellent performance. Compared with the previous standards, H.264standard, which is widely concerned with its absolute advantage, provides many different coding tools, quite different from the previous ones, to improve the compression efficiency. This also brings many new challenges to the image processing in H.264compressed domain. It is the key to the research work about algorithm based on compressed domain that "how to use the H.264from the compressed data to extract key information, improve resource utilization, and reduce operation time." However, domestically the research on all kinds of algorithm based on H.264compressed domain is still in the developmental stage. The research on "how to use the information in H.264compressed domain to achieve rapid stabilization" is just unfolding. Therefore, the in-depth study on the problem—"how to directly use the H.264video information in the video image stabilization", has the important theoretical significance and application value.The demand of electronic image stabilization and the development of related H.264compressed domain algorithm, make the research of electronic image stabilization algorithm based on H.264compressed domain have the feasibility and the necessity. Therefore, this paper puts forward a fast and effective electronic image stabilization method, obtaining the macroblock motion vector, block type information and the value of MVD which from the H.264compression code stream, and using6parameters of the motion model and mean filter. According to the testing of the different video sequences, with the comparison between the algorithm of literature[1] and that of literature [2], the experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper is efficient and accurate, and has better effect of image stabilization.
