In recent years, Internet technology has become more sophisticated, and it changed modern lifestyle. For instance, online shopping relative to the traditional way of shopping, it is more convenient and affordable, more and more people started to do shopping on online. This has brought unprecedented opportunities for transportation industry. But the increasing amount of the transportation business makes the management model of the traditional transportation enterprises became overwhelmed; at the same time the requirement of the customers become more, they not only want their staffs can be transport quickly and safe, but also they want to know the comprehensive information of goods in transit. How to improve the transport company management level, to provide customers with better service, and to meet the users" requirements become the urgent need to solve for transport industry companies. Thus, a transportation manage system which provide features such as real-time, configurable, meet the requirement of different transportation companies is valuable.This article describes the system platform development background, do the analysis of workflow and functional requirements of the system platform of the transport industry, and a detailed description of the need to solve the problem of the system platform. Root the absolute transport information processing platform needs analysis results, the overall architecture of the system platform, etc. System is in C/S model and based on.NET Framework3.5and.NET Compact Frameworks.5. Use C#as the programming language. The system is divided into two parts, one is the server side application which is a windows form application should be running on a server computer of a transportation company. The second part is the client side, it is consist of embedded hardware and embedded software. The system uses a fat client model, that is the core business logic in the client embedded program. The core functionality of the system is the task assignment and the end of a complete transportation information management workflow from pickup to delivery of freight vehicles. As a business application platform, you need to be able to customize different transport processes for different transportation companies. Functions defined workflow description language based on XML standards, plus compression and upgrade work flow for real-time push by the server-side application upgrade package, the core functionality of the system workflow engine module, based on the workflow description language for work flow, user interface, user actions incident response, and the definition of the workflow data to draw the user interface, the implementation of workflow tasks, save the workflow data and respond to user actions. Other auxiliary functions while providing real-time communication, GPS, and passengers management system platform.The design and implementation of the system described in this paper has been successfully achieved. Some European and US transportation companies are using this product. And we get good feedback from them. This software system shows modern information technology to improve the transportation industry productivity, great value and significance to improve the user experience of the transport industry.
