The mobile communications industry has evolved by leaps and bounds as the development of science and technology. The lifestyle would be changed gradually, and the various research institutions as with communication enterprises have paid much more attention to the core technologies of the mobile communications research.In wireless communication system, the power control technology has already been a hotspot. It can be made up the defects owned by the communication system in macroscopic view, and also can advance the communication system as well as reduce the battery consumption. According to the relevant studies on the control of the power of the communication system, the existed power control algorithm could not take a better solution on the problem of parameter uncertainty and time-varying delay. This paper would give an effective method to solve both issues, which would be more practical and valuable.This paper mainly focuses on parameter uncertainty and time-varying delay in the power control of communication systems. An adaptive power control algorithm is presented based on channel parameter and time delay estimations. This algorithm could compensate the effects caused by above mentioned issues and adjust the power to a stable and smooth level, then it has a better performance.The paper presents three steps as followed. Firstly, analyze the SIR math model of wireless communication system, and deduce the generalized iteration system model which could be applied in Least Squares algorithm; secondly, estimate the system delay time as well as the system parameters, and calculate the adjusting result; finally, do the simulation work to certify the algorithm’s performance.This paper testified the proposed algorithms in the simulation part, Simulation results show that it can effectively compensate for the affects of parameter uncertainty and time-varying delay, smoothly and fast adjust the transmission power, have a better improvement and performance, comparing to the traditional fixed-step power control algorithm.
